Welcome to the GentleBirth Childbirth Educator Training Course. 

The GentleBirth Institute is built upon the latest technology in Learning Management to facilitate the most positive and effective learning experience. This interactive experience including video training, live webinar sessions, quizzes and more. Our training design and content isn't designed simply to present information or to assess your knowledge; these components are an integral part of the learning process itself.

The short GentleBirth Institute assessments are designed to take advantage of the “testing effect.” The Testing Effect is the well-established psychological effect that the process of testing a student's memory will strengthen the retention of information. An 80% grade must be achieved in each module in order to move ahead in the training. Assessments can be taken up to 3 times. After 3 unsuccessful attempts an online meeting will be scheduled to provide additional support.

First things first - please download the GentleBirth Hypnobirthing app and register your email.

There isn't a special section for Instructors in the GentleBirth App so you'll need to set yourself up in one of the journeys - this will give you a good opportunity to familiarize yourself with the functions and features of the app.

Next send an email through the 'contact us' function in the app so we can turn on your complimentary access. Please set yourself up as an expectant parent so you can see the kind of daily training your clients will be recommended.

Let us know the email address associated with your Facebook account so we can invite you to the GentleBirth Instructor - Learners group (or add Tracy Donegan as a friend and message me to let me know you need access to the group).

Please note the best learning experience is through a laptop or desktop - especially for reading research articles. At this time the Teachable platform does not always recognize progress made on mobile devices so you may see some discrepancies in your progress if you switch between a laptop and mobile.

In the coming weeks we will launch a new (and very easy to navigate) GentleBirth website – http://www.GentleBirth.app   

Class listings will only be posted in the parent's Facebook group at the beginning of each month and Educators will post their classes within the class listing thread.

It is important to participate in the parent's group to build your profile especially as parents have lots of GentleBirth Zoom class options to choose from. The more often you engage in the group the sooner you become a trusted source of reassuring, evidence based, positive birth preparation support.

There are no longer any administrative fees payable to GentleBirth for any 2 day workshops held by GentleBirth Educators effective immediately.

Instructors choosing to teach the 1-day class will continue to submit a $35/€35 fee per client for unlimited access to the 1-day class supplementary materials including Nancy Mohrbacher's online breastfeeding class - Natural Breastfeeding.  To ensure a seamless experience for your clients please submit your clients details and payment via PayPal before your 1-day class to [email protected] Details are available in your signed agreement.
